Hole by Hole

Take a hole by hole tour of Stonetree Golf Course

Hole 1

Hole #1, Par 4, Handicap 15

Championship : 401 Yards

Black: 368 Yards

Blue: 344 Yards

White: 317 Yards

Hit it down the right side of the fairway and the prevailing winds will help the ball back to the center of the fairway avoiding the wetlands on the right. The bunker right of the green is deceivingly short of the green. An approach shot placed on the right side of this green will generally provide the lowest score on this opening hole.

Hole 2

Hole #2, Par 4, Handicap 11

Championship: 310 Yards

Black: 308 Yards

Blue: 294 Yards

White: 257 Yards

Risky to hit the driver here with trouble left and right, but length off the tee will lend a more appealing shorter shot into this wonderfully shaped green.

Hole 3

Hole 3, Par 3, Handicap 17
Championship: 198 Yards

Black:
175 Yards

Blue:
154 Yards

White:
115 Yards

Are you ready for the most intimidating shot so far? This long and treacherous par 3, guarded by both grass and sand bunkers, will certainly bring a smile to anyone making a par. Guide your tee shot toward the left side of the green for the safest play.

Hole 4

Hole 4, Par 4, Handicap 5
Championship: 438 Yards

Black: 397 Yards

Blue: 347 Yards

White: 321 Yards

A tee shot down the left center of the fairway promotes a safe beginning down this par 4, which is heavily guarded by bunkers along the right side. The club you choose for your second shot should be chosen wisely, as the bunker on the right of the green is well short of the putting surface.

Hole 5

Hole 5, Par 4, Handicap 3
Championship: 432 Yards

Black:
371 Yards

Blue:
333 Yards

White:
329 Yards

Favor the right side off the tee as mounding and prevailing winds should move your ball left towards the center of the fairway. The approach shot must carry to the green due to the creek that runs the entire width of the fairway short of the green.

Hole 6

Hole 6, Par 5, Handicap 9
Championship: 540 Yards

Black:
495 Yards

Blue: 504 Yards

White: 433 Yards

The first par 5, and the last hole before advancing into the oak studded forest. A tee shot to the right side of the fairway is risky, but will help the long hitters chance of getting to the green in two. Be mindful of the creek in the landing area of the second shot. The big hitter may attempt hitting it over the creek on the second shot while the more conservative player should hit it towards the landing area provided immediately right of the fairway bunker.

Hole 7

Hole 7, Par 4, Handicap 7
Championship: 358 Yards

Black:
331 Yards

Blue: 308 Yards

White: 238 Yards

This uphill dog-leg right layout is the introduction of the three closing holes on the front nine framed by trees and made more difficult by elevated terrain. Driving the ball for maximum distance to the generous landing area will be beneficial as a precise second shot remains.

Hole 8

Hole 8, Par 3, Handicap 13
Championship: 175 Yards

Black: 152 Yards

Blue: 144 Yards

White: 138 Yards

Goal #1: Carry the canyon! Also, any ball left of the greenside bunker may be considered lost. Please do not feel discouraged when using the provided ball drop short of the green (on the other side of the canyon) when goal #1 is not achieved.

Hole 9

Hole 9, Par 4, Handicap 1
Championship: 430 Yards

Black: 408 Yards

Blue: 390 Yards

White: 324 Yards

Heading back towards the lowlands on this closing hole of the front nine can be intimidating, but realize that there is ample room to the left for the tee shot on this dog-leg right. Keep the ball toward the right side of the green on this demanding second shot.
